Who were the family who originally built and remodeled the Château de la Hunaudaye over the centuries?

How did they live in this fortress, so deeply rooted in the local landscape?

Thanks to the rediscovery of 15th and 16th-century written records, and their study by the Tournemine family specialist, we can shed new light on this lineage and their life at the château.

It’s not just lords and ladies who emerge, but also servants and a stewardship team who transformed this château into a veritable living theater.

Because history is still being written at La Hunaudaye, we offer you an exhibition focused on the written records of life at the château. So, come and rediscover this site that we thought we knew, and let us open the door wide to the château’s history.
